Syracuse closes out the road game portion of its schedule with a match against #3 North Carolina at Dorrance Field in Chapel Hill, N.C.
The pairing pits the Orange (2-12-2, 0-7-1) against the unbeaten Tar Heels (9-0-7, 4-0-4).

North Carolina has dominated the all-time series, winning each of the eight previous meetings. The two teams first competed in 2013. The Tar Heels won last year's encounter in Syracuse, 1-0.
A season ago, Syracuse and NC State played to a 1-1- draw.

The Orange had a strong effort spoiled on Thursday in a 2-0 defeat at NC State. The host Wolfpack used a penalty kick to get on the board.and scored in the final two minutes to secure the triumph.
Syracuse outshot NC State, 12-11, and redshirt sophomore Erin Flurey had fvie of the attempts. Sophomore goalkeeper Shea Vanderbosch continues to top the ACC in saves (111) and saves average (7.0).
North Carolina Status:
While the Tar Heals are unbeaten, their last three games ended in a draw. North Carolina and Notre Dame played to a 1-1 tie on Thursday night.
Senior Avery Patterson (6 goals, 2 assists) and redshirt sophomore Ally Sentnor (5 goals, 3 assists) are two offensive mainstays for the Tar Heels. Redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Emmie Allen has a 0.71 goals-against-average and a .730 save percentage in 14 starts.

- Vanderbosch has accumulated 111 saves this fall. It's the second-best mark in school history. She is 27 stops away from the school record set by Katie Karlander in 2000.
- The Atlantic Coast Conference continues to dominate the United Soccer Coaches Poll. The ACC occupies four of the top 12 rankings and five overall in the Oct. 17Â poll.
- Syracuse junior Kylen Grant leads the Orange with 39 career starts, followed by senior Kate Murphy with 38.
- Freshman Grace Gillard has a squad-best 34Â straight starts for the Orange.Â
- Five Syracuse performers have started all 15 matches this fall: Flurey, Gillard, Grant, sophomore Ashley Rauch and Vanderbosch.
- Syracuse assistant coach Alex Zaroyan was selected for the United Soccer Coaches 30-under-30 program.
