VANDERBOSCHÂ POSTS DOUBLE-DIGIT SAVES AGAIN

She was tested first by Emily Moxley just 2:28 into the contest but managed to extend and deflect the ball over the net. She made five more saves before the Tar Heels broke through at 34:07 into the opening half. Maycee Bell scored her first goal of the campaign, with an assist to Maddie Dahlien, to provide North Carolina with a 1-0 advantage.
North Carolina struck again quickly on Bella Sember's goal just four-and-a-half minutes later. Tessa Dellarose earned the assist. The Orange held off the Tar Heels for the rest of the period.
UNC STARTS FAST AFTER THE BREAK
North Carolina went to work promptly following the intermission. A little over two minutes into the second half, Sam Meza scored off an assist from Ally Sentnor to increase the margin to 3-0.
Following 27 minutes of scoreless play, Syracuse got on the board. Top scorer Erin Flurey carried the ball wide and then cut inside before driving a shot in the Tar Heel goal. It was Flurey's sixth goal of the Fall.Â
North Carolina closed out the contest with three goals in a span of 10 minutes. Avery Patterson scored her eighth and ninth goals of the year, and Melina Rebimbas added the final marker.
