Syracuse finishes off its week with a road encounter at Louisville on Sunday, Oct. 8.

The Syracuse-Louisville Series:
Louisville is unbeaten in the previous nine matches with Syracuse. The Cardinals have an 8-0-1 series advantage.

In the most recent encounter between the two programs, on Sept. 23, 2021, Louisville claimed a 2-1 decision.

Syracuse Status:

The Orange (2-9-2, 0-4-1) complete a stretch of five matches in 17 days when they take on Louisville.

Redshirt sophomore Erin Flurey has goals in four of the last seven games and five for the season. She's exceeded her total of four from 2022. Flurey also has a squad-best three assists, a mark she shares with sophomore Anna Rupert.

Sophomore goalkeeper Shea Vanderbosch tops the ACC in saves (87) and saves average (6.7).

Louisville Status:

The Cardinals (2-7-4, 1-3-1) are regrouping from consecutive games against ranked foes -- #10 Notre Dame (L, 3-0) and #2 Florida State (L, 2-0). Louisville owns an ACC win against Pittsburgh.

Sophomore Addie Chester (2g, 4a) and graduate student Ravin Alexander (1g, 2a) are the top offensive weapons for the Cards. Sophomore goalkeeper Erynn Floyd (1.44 GAA, .739 save %) has started all 13 games and played all but 45 minutes for Louisville.

Notable Notes:

Vanderbosch has accumulated 87 saves this fall. It's the tenth best mark in school history. She is one save away from the ninth spot and four stops from eighth.
The Atlantic Coast Conference continues to dominate the United Soccer Coaches Poll. The ACC occupies four of the top 11 rankings and six overall in the Oct. 3 poll.
Syracuse senior Kate Murphy and junior Kylen Grant lead the Orange with 36 career starts each.
Grace Gillard has a squad-best 31 straight starts for the Orange.
