The Orange have benefited from the play of national player of the year candidate Judah Mintz. The sophomore guard tops the team in scoring average (19.6 ppg.) and is among the Division IÂ Ieaders in free throws attempted (fifth) and made (sixth). Sophomore guard Chris Bell ranks second in scoring (14.0 ppg.) while sophomore forward Justin Taylor has been the squad leader in rebound average (6.2 rpg.).

The Hoyas were edged in their most recent outing in the BIG EAST/Big 12 Challenge by TCU, 84-83. Georgetown's top scorer, Jayden Epps, logged a squad-high 24 points, five assists and four rebounds in the contest.

Syracuse has a 53-45 advantage in the series with Georgetown. The last matchup between the Orange and the Hoyas was on Dec. 10, 2022, and Syracuse won, 83-64. The game on Saturday will mark the ninth consecutive year that the programs have met in the regular season.
