Syracuse Travels to Ohio Saturday

The Orange head to Athens, Ohio, on Saturday for their final non-conference road game of the season. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. on ESPN+ with Sam Hyman and Dave Cecutti on the call. Fans unable to attend can stream the game live on ESPN with a subscription.
Syracuse (7-1) rides a four-game win streak into Saturday's game. Last time out, SU defeated Northeastern 79-57 at the JMA Wirless Dome on Monday night. The Orange are averaging 80.9 points per game while holding opponents to 63.8 ppg. Syracuse is led by Dyaisha Fair (18.4 ppg) who enters Saturday's clash with the Bobcats with 2,838 career points.
It will be a familiar foe for Syracuse head coach Felisha Legette-Jack who coached against Bob Boldon and Ohio for a decade while at the helm of Buffalo before returning to her hometown Syracuse last season. Legette-Jack holds a 13-10 record as a head coach against the Bobcats.
Syracuse will travel to Ohio for the first time in school history on Saturday. The previous four meetings have taken place in Syracuse with SU winning each time. Last time the two met, Syracuse defeated Ohio, 66-54, at the JMA Wireless Dome on Nov. 5, 2019.
The Orange are receiving votes in both top 25 polls this week marking the first time since January 2021. SU was given 10 votes in the USA Today/WBCA Coaches Poll and received two votes in the Associated Press Top-25.
A win on Saturday would be the first true road win for the Orange this season. SU lost on the road to #20 Maryland, 83-81, on Nov. 19 and then traveled to Las Vegas, Nev., for Thanksgiving weekend where the Orange earned neutral site wins over Northern Iowa and Iowa State.
Following Saturday's tilt with OU Syracuse returns home for the final two games before the holidays. The Orange host Cornell on Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. and will close out the first semester with School Day on Dec. 21 at 10:30 a.m.
