
Five Event Wins Highlight Regular Season Finale

Syracuse won five of the six events it had runners start in at the Marc Deneault Invitational, closing the regular season on a high note.
Kensey May earned the first 'Cuse victory by nearly 12 full seconds in the mile. She finished in 5:03.39, Olivia Shattuck (5:37.39), Lucy Zombek (5:36.97) and Madeline Lutz (5:49.57) also competed, with Lutz and Zombek turning in new PRs.
Alexander Segarra came away victorious in the 500-meter run. He finished in 1:05.83, while teammate Ryder Kriley took fourth (1:10.06).
Catriona McKeown continued the win streak in the next event with Orange competitors. She finished with a new PR of 1:01.16. Kristine Krumpfer (1:03.39) and Ariel Haywood (1:05.01) also raced.
Lizzie Bigelow won the 1,000-meter run by four seconds, crossing the line in 3:02.72, before James Nmah ended the meet with five-straight event victories for 'Cuse in the 200. He finished in 22.46 seconds, while Carlton Landingham took third in 22.88.
Daijon Richards opened the day with a new personal best in the 60-meter dash, crossing the line in 6.95 seconds, which earned him third overall.
Next, the ACC Championships await. Action gets underway on Thursday from Louisville, Kentucky.
