
Orange Wrap Up Home Slate on Sunday vs. Miami

 The Orange host Miami on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 1 p.m. in the JMA Wireless Dome for Senior Day and the final home game of the regular season. Fans can watch the game live nationally on Regional Sports Networks (YES Network locally) with Evan Lepler and Fallon Stokes on the call.
On Thursday, Syracuse lost to #24 Florida State, 78-65, on the road. Dyaisha Fair and Georgia Woolley led the Orange scoring with 19 and 12 points, respectively. Dariauna Lewis recorded her 11th double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds and recorded her third-straight double double. Alaina Rice led all players with a career-high 17 rebounds and finished one point shy of a double double. Syracuse looks to improve to to 8-9 in the ACC and earn its 17th win of the season on Sunday afternoon.Â
Miami recorded its 10th Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) victory of the season on Thursday in a close 59-54 battle with Clemson at the Watsco Center. Destiny Harden had a double double with 17 points and 11 rebounds while Haley Cavinder added 17 points. The Hurricanes are 17-9 overall and 10-5 in the ACC.Â
Last time the two met Teisha Hyman and former Syracuse guard Naje Murray each scored 15 points in a six-point road loss, 71-65, on Feb. 2, 2022. Miami was led by Lola Pendande and grad student and Syracuse alumna Maeva Djaldi-Tabdi with 14 poitns apiece. Syracuse is 12-20 all-time against Miami and has won three of the last five match ups.
Fans are encouraged to stick around after the conclusion of the game for a special Senior Day celebration where Syracuse will recognize five players, Alaina Rice, Asia Strong, Dariauna Lewis, Dyaisha Fair and Ava Irvin.Â
