Both squads enter Wednesday night's matchup after snapping three-game skids. The Seminoles return to their home court after splitting a week on the road against NC State (L, 94-66) and Louisville (W, 81-78). Syracuse looks to round out a two-game road swing that began with a victory at Boston College, 77-68, on Saturday..

SYRACUSE-BOSTON COLLEGE SERIES
Syracuse holds the edge in the all-time series against Florida State with nine wins across 15 meetings. The Orange took victories in two of the last three pairings, including a 96-57 triumph in the second round of the 2022 ACC Tournament.Â

LAST TIME OUT
On Saturday night SU completed a sesaon sweep of Boston College, 77-68. Senior center Jesse Edwards led the Orange with a career-high 27 points, seven rebounds and four blocked shots. Senior guard Joseph Girard III contributed 18 points and freshman guard Judah Mintz amassed double-digit points for the fifth straight game with 15 points.

ORANGE LEADERS
The backcourt duo of Girard (16.6 ppg.) and Mintz (15.4 ppg.) rank third among ACC starting backcourts in combined scoring average (32.0 ppg.). Edwards, who is averaging 14.0 points per outing, is the league's leading shot blocker (2.8 bpg.) and ranks third in the conference with a 10.1 rebounding average.

SCOUTING THE SEMINOLES
Sophomore guard Matthew Cleveland (14.2 ppg.) has the longest active double-figure scoring streak (16 games) in the ACC and is one of four Florida State performers averaging 10.8 or more points per game. Cleveland leads his squad on the glass with 7.7 rebounds per game. Junior guard Darin Green Jr. is second in the conference in 3-point average (3.0) and is shooting 40.7% from behind the arc this season.

'CUSE FANS CAN VOTE FOR GIRARD
Senior Joseph Girard III is one of 20 players named to the 2023 Jerry West Award watch list, annually presented to the top shooting guard in Division I college basketball. Orange fans are encouraged to participate in Fan Voting for the three rounds. The list will be narrowed down to 10 in January, five in February, and the five finalists will be presented to Jerry West and the Hall of Fame's selection committee where a winner will be selected in March. MCNAMARA AND WARRICK JERSEY RETIREMENT
Twenty years after playing a major role in Syracuse's first NCAA Basketball Championship, Gerry McNamara '06 and Hakim Warrick '05 will have their Orange jerseys hoisted to the Dome rafters. The jersey retirements will take place on Sunday, March 4 when Syracuse hosts Wake Forest at 5:00 p.m. in the JMA Wireless Dome.

20TH ANNIVERSARY OF '03 CHAMPIONSHIP
Syracuse University Athletics will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the men's basketball program's 2003 NCAA Championship throughout the 2022-23 season, culminating with a reunion at the March 4 contest with Wake Forest. Members of the 2002-03 national title team have been invited to return to Syracuse for planned activities the weekend of March 3-5, 2023. The Orange are scheduled to host Wake Forest on Saturday, March 4, in the final regular-season contest of the campaign. Those from the 2002-03 squad who can return, will be recognized at the game.
