
Women's Basketball Faces Columbia Friday Night

Syracuse (20-12) will face Columbia (25-5) in the Super 16 of the WNIT on Friday, March 24 on Schiller Court at Levien Gymnasium in New York City. Â Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. on SNY. The game will be simulcast on ESPN+ for those out of region. Â Â
The Orange defeated Seton Hall, 72-54, on Monday evening to improve to 13-4 all-time in the WNIT. Dyaisha Fair finished with 24 points, making it the 32nd straight game she has scored in double figures. Georgia Woolley 19 points and five assists. Teisha Hyman (10 pts) also had five assists and five rebounds while finishing one steal shy of tying a program WNIT record of six steals in a game. With 10 rebounds, Dariauna Lewis was one point shy of her 13th double-double of the season.
The Lions are coming off of a narrow 78-73 win over Fordham in which Columbia finished the game on a 12-2 run to secure the victory. Abbey Hsu led all scorers with 20 points and 12 rebounds while Jaida Patrick scored 18 points, and Kaitlyn Davis contributed 16 moving the the Lions to the Round of 16.

The winner of Friday night's game will advance to the Great Eight and will play the winner of Harvard/Rhode Island.
