THE GAME
- Away from home but neutral ground this weekend as the newly-ranked Orange take on No. 12 North Carolina for a rematch from mid-February. The ACC foes battle in the Old Line State at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School.
- Game time is set for 4 p.m. on ESPNU with Anish Shroff '04 and Quint Kessenich will have the call from Olney.
- The two teams meet at a neutral site for the first time since the 2017 campaign at the ACC Tournament, hosted at Duke University's Koskinen Stadium.
- Tim Leonard '20 (PxP) and Kyle Fetterly '09 (analyst) will broadcast the action on TK99/105, Cuse.com, The Varsity App and the TuneIn App, while WAER will also carry the game.

THE NORTH CAROLINA SERIES
- It's the second meeting of the season as the Orange and Tar Heels line up in the Old Line State on Saturday.
- UNC got the better of Syracuse 19-13 back in February, but the Orange get a second crack at the Chapel Hillers.
- Syracuse leads the all-time series against North Carolina by an 18-12 count, but the Tar Heels have won the last four meetings. The Orange are hunting their first win over UNC since a 12-9 victory in Chapel Hill during the 2019 season.
- Saturday's tilt will be the first neutral site meeting between the programs since the 2017 ACC Tournament in Durham, North Carolina. The more local side won that clash 16-15. Syracuse pull back with one at the end of the third quarter, fighting off a 13-4 deficit, but the teams traded blows in the fourth for the final score.
- The teams first met in Chapel Hill back in the 1981 campaign, a 13-6 North Carolina win.
- Syracuse holds a 6-1 record in neutral site meetings, including a 2-0 mark when the teams meet in Maryland. Saturday will be the third different city in Maryland in which Syracuse and North Carolina will compete; the first was a 10-9 Orange win in Baltimore during the 1984 campaign, followed by a 13-12 Syracuse win in College Park to capture the 1993 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championship.

ALL-TIME VERSUS #12
- Saturday marks the 19th time Syracuse will face a team ranked 12th in that week's USILA Coaches Poll and the first time since the 2021 campaign.
- Since the USILA began its poll in 1973, Syracuse is 13-5 all-time against 12th-ranked foes, but have dropped the last two contests at Notre Dame (2019) and against Army West Point (2021).
- The Orange are looking for their first win over a 12th-ranked opponent since then-No. 6 Syracuse edged No. 12 UAlbany 10-9 in 2017.
- Saturday's game will be the first time Syracuse meets a 12th-ranked opponent at a neutral site since the polls began.
- 'Cuse won seven straight against 12th-ranked foes, beginning with the title bout in 1988 over Cornell through a 9-8 double overtime thriller against Georgetown in 2008.
- The Orange are 4-3 since 1973 in games away from home against opponents ranked 12th in the Coaches' Poll.
- Syracuse has never clashed with a 12th-ranked North Carolina team

CRAB CAKES AND LACROSSE
- Eight current men's lacrosse players make their second trip to their home state of Maryland this weekend.
- Finn Kelly (Annapolis), Luke Rhoa (Potomac), Riley Figueiras (Sunderland), Vinnie Trujillo (Annapolis), Jack Witherspoon (Owings Mills), Billy Dwan (Lutherville), Jordan Beck (Towson), Saam Olexo (Annapolis).
- Assistant coach and offensive coordinator Pat March (Glen Burnie) also returns close to home.
