- The two NCAA historic heavyweights meet for the firs time since the 2013 season, a 13-12 regulation win for the Orange in Central New Jersey.
- Opening faceoff is set for noon at Class of 1952 Stadium in Princeton, New Jersey.
- NBC Sports Philly and SNY will carry the game, which will also be available on ESPN+.
- Cody Chrusciel will have the call alongside Dave Giancola.
- Tim Leonard '20 (PxP) and Kyle Fetterly '09 (analyst) will broadcast the action on TK99/105, Cuse.com, The Varsity App and the TuneIn App, while WAER will also carry the game.
ROADS? WHERE WE'RE GOING WE'LL NEED PLENTY OF ROADS
- This weekend, Syracuse kicks off a four-game road swing to round out the 2023 regular season, including three true away games with one neutral-site game for good measure.
- It won't be an easy stretch for the Orange, facing three top-10 teams and all four opponents currently ranked in the top 15 of both the USILA and Inside Lacrosse Polls.
- Syracuse has played just two games away from the JMA Wireless Dome this season, spliting the results with a narrow loss at No. 4 Maryland before doubling up on Hofstra, 16-8, in mid-March.
- The Orange have not played four regular season games away from home since the 2014 campaign. 'Cuse split those four games 2-2, falling at No. 4 Virginia and No. 3 Duke. The middle two games saw the Orange pick off No. 19 St. John's and No. 2 Johns Hopkins at Historic Homewood Field. Syracuse and the Red Storm met in Kennesaw, Georgia for the Cobb County Classic.
THE PRINCETON SERIES
- Two historic teams lineup in New Jersey this weekend as Syracuse meets Princeton for the 30th time.
- The Orange and Tigers clash for the first time since the 2013 season, a 13-12 'Cuse win in the Garden State that extended the Orange to a four-game winning streak over Princeton.
- This rivalry dominated the mid-1990s and early 2000s as the teams met four times in the NCAA Tournament Championship game. Each side emerged victorious twice: Syracuse won it all over Princeton in 2000 and 2002, but the Tigers got the better of 'Cuse in 2001 and 1992, a double overtime thriller in Philadelphia.
- Syracuse and the Tigers first clashed on May 6, 1922, a 5-2 victory for homestanding 'Cuse. The sides met again in 1923, a Princeton 4-2 edge in New Jersey, for seeing one another in 1947. The Tigers won that contest 16-5.
- After one contest between 1947 and the 1990s, the sides met on a near annual basis in the postseason, clashing in May during the 1992, 1993, 1995, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003 seasons.
- April meetings were in vogue for the series from 2006 until the last meeting 2013.
