
Autry Rides In Syracuse Juneteenth Parade

Adrian Autry presided over Syracuse's Juneteenth Parade on Saturday, June 17, serving as grand marshal of the event.
Autry rode in the lead car of the parade which started at 11:00 a.m. from the Dunbar Association on South State Street and ended its journey at noon in Clinton Square.
Following the parade, the local Juneteenth Cultural Festival continued in Clinton Square with events scheduled to wrap up at 10:00 p.m. Juneteenth celebrates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and includes a federal holiday on June 19.
Autry, who excelled as a player and then an assistant coach with the men's basketball program at Syracuse, is in his first year as head coach at his alma mater.
