No. 10 Syracuse field hockey is set for a wicked good weekend in Boston as the Orange take on ACC rival No. 12 Boston College on Friday before making the quick jaunt to No. 14 Harvard on Sunday. Both games are slated for 1 p.m. starts on ACC Network Extra and ESPN+, respectively.
From the Start
- It's another pair of top 20 battles for Syracuse this weekend as the Orange head for Boston to take on No. 12 Boston College and No. 14 Harvard.
- The Orange are riding a three-game win streak over the Eagles, including two last season with a 6-2 ACC Quarterfinal decision in Durham. Syracuse has won eight of the last 10 tilts.
- Syracuse and Harvard have only met one time as the teams prepare to clash for the first time during the regular season.
- This week's pair of games marks the first time this year the Orange will play two true road games in the same weekend; Syracuse opened the year with a neutral site game versus Sacred Heart before playing host Vermont the following day.
- Syracuse has not played a double weekend in New England since the 2019, taking on Boston College in Chestnut Hill on Friday before topping No. 3 UConn 1-0 two days later in Storrs on the drive back to Central New York.

- The Orange remain in the top 10 of the Penn Monto/NFHCA Coaches Poll, holding steady in the number 10 spot this week with 425 points.
- Six of the seven ACC teams were ranked this week: No. 2 North Carolina, No. 4 Duke, No. 5 Louisville, No. 7 Virginia, No. 10 Syracuse, and No. 12 Boston College.
- Syracuse has been inside the top 10 of all five polls to date this season.
- The Orange face another pair of ranked opponents this week, the third and fourth straight games Syracuse meets a top 20 team.
Farquhar vs. Boston College
- Friday afternoon will be head coach Lynn Farquhar's first ACC matchup against Boston College at the helm of the 'Cuse program.
- Farquhar is 2-0 against the Eagles, both as the head coach at Saint Joseph's.
- The Hawks topped Boston College 5-4 in 2019 and 2-0 in 2021. Both games were played in Massachusetts.
- As an assistant coach at Syracuse (2007-10), Farquhar helped guide the Orange to a 3-1 mark against Boston College. She later added a win over BC as an assistant coach at James Madison in 2012.
Farquhar vs. Harvard
- Sunday's tilt against the Crimson will be the first time as a head coach Lynn Farquhar lines up against Harvard.
- Farquhar has not clashed against the Crimson as a student-athlete, nor any time as an assistant coach.
