Orange, Panthers Tipoff at 2 PM Sunday

The Syracuse women's basketball team (15-2, 5-1 ACC) travels to face Pittsburgh (6-12, 0-5 ACC), Sunday afternoon at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pa. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m. on ACC Network Extra, which fans can stream online or on the ESPN app.
Syracuse has won four-straight and is coming off back-to-back comeback wins where the Orange erased a 19-point third quarter deficit to beat Clemson, 83-82, and overcame an 18-point deficit to beat #15 Florida State at the Dome Thursday night. The win over FSU was the second top-15 win of the season for 'Cuse, who earned its first ranking in the USA Today/WBCA Coaches Poll for the first time since 2021 this week. Second-year head coach Felisha Legette-Jack and her squad are No. 25 in the Week 11 poll and are receiving votes in the Associated Press (AP) Top-25.
Pitt enters the contest hoping to snap a five-game losing streak under first-year head coach Tory Verdi. The Panthers lost in overtime last Sunday to Boston College, 84-71, in Chestnut Hill, Mass. Pitt's Liatu King and Jala Jordan each scored 18 points in the contest. The Panthers are 0-5 in ACC conference play and 6-12 on the season.
Sunday mark's Syracuse and Pitt's 71st contest, with the Orange leading the series, 51-19. 'Cuse earned a 30-point win in the last meeting, 85-55, on Feb. 23, 2023. The Orange have won 24-straight games against the Panthers entering Sunday's 2 p.m. game.
