No. 22 Syracuse women's basketball fell to No. 19 Virginia Tech, 75-62, inside the JMA Wireless Dome Sunday afternoon. The Orange are now 17-3 on the season, and 7-2 in ACC play.

Fifth-year guard Dyaisha Fair moved into ninth all-time on the NCAA Division I Career Scoring List, thanks to 16 points. Fair passed Rachel Banham (Minnesota) and sits six points behind eighth place Jerica Coley (FIU) at 3,107. Junior guard Georgia Woolley also contributed 16 points for the Orange alongside Fair, with graduate student Alaina Rice (14 pts.) also scoring in double-digits.

Junior forward Kyra Wood led the team with 12 rebounds, her seventh game with double-digits boards this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Virginia Tech outscored the Orange 23-9 in the first quarter, before Syracuse cut lead to four at halftime. The Hokies entered the fourth quarter leading 55-47, and used a 13-5 run in the last three minutes of the game to close out the road win. Virginia Tech out-rebounded the Orange 47-39
