Barron Named Senior Bowl Player of the Week

Linebacker Justin Barron, who already had earned ACC Player of the Week honors for his performance against NC State, added another award on Tuesday. The senior standout was named Senior Bowl Player of the Week.
Barron had two takeaways in Saturday's 24-17 win in Raleigh. Both takeaways led to offensive scores on the ensuing possession. He recovered a fumble in the first half and notched his second career interception, which he returned 41 yards, after intermission. He finished as the team's leading tackler (8), notched two tackles for loss and a sack in the game. He also had a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry.
He and the Orange are off this week, but will return to action on Thursday, Oct. 24 at No. 20 Pitt.
