SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Behind another four goal scorers, the Syracuse University women's ice hockey team completed the series sweep over Stonehill College Saturday afternoon, knocking down the Skyhawks 4-0 at Tennity Ice Pavilion.
Syracuse (2-0-0) got its four goals from four different sources, including Orange firsts from Jocelyn Fiala, Charli Kettyle, and Rylee McLeod. The Orange had four different goal getters in Friday night's 4-0 win as well. Sophomore netminder Bella Gould made her first appearance of the season for the Orange, collecting a 20-save shutout along the way.
Stonehill (0-3-0) had another 33 saves from Alexsa Caron in net. Maeve Connolly led the offensive effort with four shots while Lily Barrett accounted for four of the 22 Skyhawks' blocked shots.
How it Happened
Overall really happy with the weekend. We talk about being consistent with our play and making sure we're getting better every game and I think we did both of those things this weekend. It was nice to see some first goals, first shutouts; it's always nice to get those under people's belts in the first weekend and our bench was awesome, very excited for their teammates. Like I said, overall really happy with the weekend.

How it Happened
- Much like Friday night, the Orange controlled puck possession early in Saturday's tilt, taking the first 10 shots of the game in the opening six minutes before Stonehill could get off a shot.
- Fiala got her first career goal for the Orange at the 13:26 mark of the first period, finishing in front on a Heidi Knoll feed in transition from Jackson Kinsler.
- Syracuse did not find the back of the net, despite another 10 shots in the remainder of the period as the Orange took their 1-0 lead into the locker room for the first intermission.
- Syracuse tacked on a second goal at the 8:11 mark of the second as assistant captain Charli Kettyle scored her first with the Orange. While Stonehill was trying to clear the puck, McLeod chopped at the puck, finding Kettyle at the top of the circle for a long-distance goal.
- The Orange wasted little time in the third period as Charlotte Hallett got her first of the season at the 2:57 mark, finishing passes from Haley Trudeau and Maya D'Arcy, the first assists of the year for the latter pair.
- Less than a minute later, the Orange added another insurance goal as McLeod tipped in a pass from Stella Costabile in transition with Kettyle getting the pass ahead on the fast break for a two-point game.
- After the fourth 'Cuse goal of the day, Gould made 10 saves across the final 15 minutes to preserve the second shutout of the weekend.
