'Cuse Downs Dartmouth in Nonconference Finale

A 10-point, 10-rebound double-double from Kyra Wood and 10 assists from Dominique Camp propelled the Syracuse women's basketball team (6-6, 0-1 ACC) to an 87-52 win over Dartmouth (5-7, 0-0 Ivy League) on Saturday at the JMA Wireless Dome. The Orange opened the game on a 10-0 run and never trailed in their largest victory of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Orange opened the game on an 10-0 run to help guide them to a 22-9 advantage after the first 10 minutes of play. In the second quarter, Syracuse narrowly outscored Dartmouth, 19-15 to take a 41-24 lead into the break.
Syracuse continued to push the pace in the third quarter, outscoring Dartmouth, 24-10, in the frame. The Orange entered the fourth quarter with their largest lead of the contest to that point, 65-34. The final 10 minutes of play were closer, with 'Cuse edging the opposition, 22-18, but the Orange went on to secure its largest victory of the season, 87-52.
WOOD DOUBLES UP
Wood earned her third double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds. The senior's effort was an efficient one, as she shot 5-of-7 (71 percent) from the floor and secured her double-double in just 16 minutes on the court.
The performance was her sixth double-digit scoring outing and her third double-figure rebounding effort.
DOM KEEPS DISHING
Camp finished the win with 10 assists to record the first double-digit assist game for the Orange since a Teisha Hyman recorded 15 helpers in the 2021-22 season. She has now led SU in assists in five games this season and paces the team with 49 assists on the season.
Camp also added five points and two rebounds in the game.
DOMINATING DOWN LOW
The Orange controlled the paint on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball in the win, grabbing a season-best 48 rebounds, 30 defensive and 18 offensives, and scoring 62 of their 87 points in the paint. Syracuse held Dartmouth to just 24 rebounds and 26 points in the paint.

'Cuse returns to the court in 2025 with a two-game road stint, starting at Georgia Tech on Thursday, Jan. 2. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. and the game will air live on ACC Network Extra.

- Sophie Burrows earned her seventh double figure scoring game of the season, including her third in a row. The sophomore was 5-of-7 (71 percent) for 10 points.
- Saniaa Wilson scored in double figures for the first time this season, ending the game with 16 points on a perfect 7-of-7 (100 percent) shooting off the bench.
- 'Cuse outrebounded Dartmouth by a +24 margin, marking the seventh time this season it has earned more boards than its opponent.
- The Orange finished the win 38-of-70 (54 percent) from the field for their sixth game of the season shooting at least 50 percent from the floor.
- The Orange bench produced 40 points in the victory, outscoring the Big Green's non-starters by 28.
- 'Cuse's 35-point win over Dartmouth is its largest margin of victory this campaign.
- Syracuse moves back to .500 on the season with a 6-6 record.
