#23 Syracuse Hosts #15 Louisville Sunday at Noon

The No. 23-ranked Syracuse women's basketball team (19-4, 9-3 ACC) looks to earn its third win over a ranked opponent at home Sunday afternoon when SU hosts #15 Louisville. The backcourt will be open with various activities to celebrate National Girls & Women in Sports Day (Feb. 7) starting at 11 a.m. Tipoff is set for 12 p.m. with Kylen Mills (play-by-play) and 'Cuse alum Isis Young '19 (analyst) on the call for the first Syracuse women's basketball game televised on The CW in program history.
The Orange enter their second meeting of the season with the Cardinals on the heels of a 62-59 victory over Georgia Tech Thursday evening. Graduate student Izabel Varejão tied her career highs in points (13) and rebounds (7) during the contest as she returned to the court for the first time since Dec. 4. Freshman forward Alyssa Latham scored 12 points and snatched eight boards in the game, with fifth-year guard Dyaisha Fair scoring a team-leading 17 points.
Louisville visits the Dome after a 73-66 victory over No. 12 Notre Dame at home Thursday night. The Cardinals never trailed in the contest and were led by Nyla Harris' career high 19 points and 10 rebounds. Louisville is now 9-2 in ACC contests, with both conference losses being away from the KFC Yum! Center.
The Cardinals and the Orange last met 11 days ago in Louisville, Ky. Louisville earned the win, 81-69, and improved to 20-7 all-time against Syracuse. Dyaisha Fair's 28 points in the road loss on Feb. 1 moved her to sixth all-time on the NCAA Division I women's basketball scoring list. 'Cuse last defeated the Cardinals during the 2019-20 season, when the Orange upset then-ranked No. 5 Louisville, 59-51, inside the Loud House. The Cardinals have won the last eight meetings since.
