THE GAME
- Week two of the year and game number four is on tap for the No. 7/No. 5 Orange this Saturday with a top-10 matchup against No. 4/No. 4 Maryland. ESPNU will showcase the rivalry game, the second half of a Syracuse vs. Maryland doubleheader day at the Dome.
- Chris Cotter and Paul Carcaterra '97 will have the call Saturday night for ESPNU. Opening faceoff is set for 6 p.m. at the JMA Wireless Dome. Jack Gordon (pxp) and Kyle Fetterly (analyst) have the radio call on TK99/105, Cuse.com, The Varsity App, and TuneIn App, as will WAER.
- Saturday's game is the fourth of the young season as the Orange roll in with a 3-0 record against Maryland's equally unblemished 2-0 mark.

15 FOR LIFE
- Saturday will be Syracuse's 15 For Life game, in a complete-day partnership with the Orange women's lacrosse team and both Maryland programs.
- The Orange will warm up in 15 For Life shirts and will wear 15 For Life decals on their helmets.
- The 15 For Life mission is to shed the shame around needing help and normalizing the conversation around mental health by creating awareness so that our loss may help others.

THE MARYLAND SERIES
- It's a series that's hit or missing in terms of scheduling, but it's always worth the price of admission.
- Syracuse and Maryland meet for the 20th time on the lacrosse field. The Terrapins hold a 13-6 lead in the series, winning the last five matchups.
- The Orange are hunting their first win over Maryland since an 11-6 win in the NCAA Quarterfinals back in 2009. Syracuse has not beaten Maryland in the regular season since a March 9, 1983 meeting as the Orange bested the host Terps 16-13.
- Last season, it was a three-goal decision in College Park, which featured a SportsCenter Top 10-worthy goal from Joey Spallina. Syracuse pulled within two of the Terps early in the fourth quarter, but a 3-0 run for Maryland put the game out of reach, despite a two-goal 'Cuse burst to finish the game.
- Saturday will be the 10th meeting all-time between the programs with both squads ranked inside the USILA Coaches Poll Top 10. Maryland is 6-3 in the previous nine top-10 clashes.
- The dustup at the Dome marks the third-straight regular season these Blue Blood programs meet, the first time in series history with meetings in three straight seasons. Prior to this run of games, the two teams had never met in consecutive seasons (there were two meetings in 1983, both won by the 'Cuse). saves and none this century.

LEADING FROM THE FRONT
- Syracuse's offense is efficient in 2024.
- The Orange have trailed for less than 60 seconds this season (53 seconds to be exact).
- Out of the 180 minutes played this season, the Orange have led for 168 minutes or 93 percent of the season.
- The Orange have not trailed since the 8:05 mark of first quarter in the season opener against Vermont, a lead of just 53 seconds before Christian Mulé tied the game at 7:12 of the opening stanza.
