#21 Orange Beat Boston College Behind Fair's 38 Points

No. 21 Syracuse (18-4, 8-3 ACC) snapped its two-game losing streak with a win over Boston College (11-13, 3-8 ACC), 75-63, Sunday afternoon in Chestnut Hill, Mass. The Orange complete the season sweep of the Eagles, making BC the second team they have swept this season (Notre Dame).Â

Dyaisha Fair scored a season-high 38 points in the contest - the most of her Syracuse career, sinking five shots from behind the arc, including three treys in the fourth quarter alone. Alaina Rice (10 points) joined Fair in double-digit scoring. The Orange shot 96% from the free-throw line, scoring 15 of their 26 fourth-quarter points from the charity stripe.

Freshman Alyssa Latham lead the Orange cleaning the glass with 10 rebounds, backed up by fellow first-year Sophie Burrows, who matched her career-high in rebounds with eight.

HOW IT HAPPENED
'Cuse and BC entered the fourth quarter tied at 49 after 13 lead changes and eight ties in the first three quarters of the game. The Orange would get their first five points of the quarter from the charity stripe, followed by an Alyssa Latham layup. Dyaisha Fair would go on to shoot three treys in a row to propel the Orange to a 12-point win and their fourth-straight win over the Eagles.

Syracuse completed the season sweep of Boston College with the win, beating the Eagles by a combined 19-points over the two games. 'Cuse has not lost to Boston College in almost 24 months, last falling to the Eagles on Feb. 27, 2022.
