
Goodale Added to Tewaaraton Award Watch List

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Syracuse senior Katie Goodale is one of 13 players added to the women's Tewaaraton Award Watch List on Thursday, March 28. The Tewaaraton Award is presented annually to the top female and male collegiate lacrosse players in the nation.

Goodale has started all 11 games this season on defense for the Orange. She leads the team in caused turnovers (27) and 2.45 caused turnovers per game rank seventh in the nation. Goodale is also averaging 2.27 ground balls per game, which rank third in the ACC.

The Riverhead, N.Y. native earned All-Northeast Region honors last season when she helped Syracuse hold its opponents to 10 goals or less in 13 games.

Goodale joins teammates Olivia Adamson, Delaney Sweitzer, Emma Tyrrell and Emma Ward on the Tewaaraton Award Watch List. The field for this year's award will be narrowed to 25 nominees on April 18. Five finalists will be announced in early May and be invited to the Tewaaraton Award Ceremony in Washington, D.C. on May 30.

The No. 5 Orange are back in action on Saturday, March 30 in the JMA Wireless Dome when they host Louisville at 12 p.m. It's Senior Day for Saturday as it will honor the senior class in a pregame ceremony. Tickets are available at Cuse.com/tickets.
