Orange Secure Two Seed, Draw Duke in ACC Tournament

Syracuse Takes on Duke at 8 p.m. Friday
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – With the return of the ACC Men's Lacrosse Championship this spring, Syracuse University has secured the two seed and will take on third-seeded Duke next week.
The Orange and Blue Devils will clash on Friday, May 3 with an 8 p.m. opening faceoff at American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. Information about the ACC Men's Lacrosse Tournament can be found on the league's championship site. The ACC Network will have both semifinal games and championship showdown.
Ranked fourth in the major polls last week before having a bye weekend, Syracuse (11-4, 3-1 ACC) locked in the two seed heading into the final weekend of the regular season. The Orange were voted last in the ACC Men's Lacrosse Preseason Poll, but picked off No. 3 Duke (10-4), North Carolina (10-9), and No. 4 Virginia (18-17) along the way. The lone blemish was a two-goal setback against top-seeded No. 1 Notre Dame (14-12) on the road.
Notre Dame went 4-0 through the league to grab the top seed and will face fourth-seeded Virginia for the second time in a week. The first semifinal game is slated for 5 p.m. on Friday, May 3.
The 2024 ACC Men's Lacrosse Championship is slated for a noon start on ACC Network on Sunday, May 5. The NCAA Tournament field will be announced on Sunday, May 5 during a 9:30 p.m. selection show on ESPNU.
