
Crittenden Advances to Semis at US Olympic Trials

Freddie Crittenden III is moving on to the semifinals at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials after winning his heat of the 110-meter hurdles on Monday night.
Crittenden III breezed through his heat in 13.16 seconds, 0.17 seconds ahead of Cordell Tinch, who placed second. The Orange alum posted the sixth-fastest time in the 36-man field in round one.
He'll next race at 8:01 p.m. on Thursday night, seeking to advance to Friday's final. A former U.S. Indoor Champion, Crittenden III holds the Olympic standard.
Also in action on Monday night was current graduate student Madison Neuner. She raced in the 3,000-meter steeplechase for the Orange, wrapping up her collegiate career at the event. She ran to a time of 10:12.95, which didn't advance her to the final.
Aside from Crittenden III, one additional Orange alum is still alive in Olympic qualifying. Amanda Vestri will race in the women's 10k final on Saturday.
