Muchnick Named to U.S. U20 National Team

SPARKS, Maryland – Syracuse rising junior Emma Muchnick is one of 22 players named to the U.S. U20 women's national team that will compete at the 2024 World Women's Lacrosse Championship in Hong Kong, China from August 15-24. The selections were made following a training camp at USA Lacrosse headquarters in late June.

Muchnick, a native of Suffern, New York, played in all 22 games in her first season with the Orange in 2024. The midfielder recorded 27 points on 14 goals and 13 assists. She also recorded 15 ground balls, five caused turnovers and 20 draw controls. Muchnick helped Syracuse win the ACC regular-season title and advance to NCAA Championship Weekend for the second-straight year and 10th time program history.

The team will hold a training camp from July 18-20 and then have a brief camp in Northern California in August before heading to Asia for the world championship. Formerly a U19 event, the U.S. claimed the gold medal five times, including the most recent title in 2019. World Lacrosse raised the age group to U20 after the 2019 championship.
