SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The No. 7 Syracuse men's soccer team (2-1-1) fell to Le Moyne (2-1-0), 1-0, on Monday night at SU Soccer Stadium. The Dolphins converted a penalty kick in the 17th minute of the contest to earn the first victory between the two Salt City programs.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
The Orange came out on the attack, taking three of the contest's first-four shots, including one shot on goal from Chimere Omeze, but it was Le Moyne who got on the board first. The Dolphins were awarded a penalty kick in the 17th minute of the game, which they converted to take a 1-0 lead.

'Cuse controlled the pace on offense, outshooting Le Moyne, 8-1, for the remainder of the first half, but could not reach the back of the net.

In the second half, Syracuse's offense put pressure on Le Moyne, attempting 17 shots, but the score remained the same as the Dolphins went on the claim a 1-0 win.

- The Orange outshot the Dolphins, 28-5, marking the fourth-straight game they have edged their opponent in the stat category.
- 'Cuse also earned 10 corner kicks compared to Le Moyne's three.
- Nicholas Kaloukian led the offensive attack with four shots. Omeze, Andre Cutler-DeJesus, and Kristjan Fortier were all right behind the junior forward with three scoring attempts apiece.
- Giona Leibold made his season debut in the loss.
- Omeze, Tomas Hut, Cutler-DeJesus, Sam Layton, and Elton Chifamba all went the distance for the second-consecutive match.
- Monday's attendance of 2, 134 is the sixth-most attended match at SU Soccer Stadium since it opened in 1996.
