Wax's Interception Starts All-Star Games for 'Cuse

Linebacker Marlowe Wax came away with an interception in Saturday's Hula Bowl, the first collegiate all-star game this year featuring a member of the Orange.
Wax's Hula Bowl invite was the first of many for members of the Syracuse football team. Jackson Meeks accepted an invitation to the East-West Shrine game Monday, bringing the Orange's inclusion to the game to six. Quarterback Kyle McCord, tight end Oronde Gadsden II, running back LeQuint Allen Jr., safety Alijah Clark and defensive end Fadil Diggs had previously accepted invites. Allen also accepted a Senior Bowl invitation.
The East-West Shrine Bowl is Thursday, Jan. 30 at 8 p.m. (eastern) in Arlington, Texas. It will be televised on NFL Network. The Senior Bowl is Saturday, Feb. 1 at 2:30 p.m. (eastern) in Mobile, Alabama and will also be on NFL Network.
Wax collected a tipped pass for his interception in the game. He left 'Cuse second in program history in tackles for loss (42.0) and forced fumbles (10). He had 338 collegiate tackles, 21.0 sacks, four fumble recoveries and two interceptions with the Orange.
