Syracuse Falls to Boston College on the Road

Syracuse women's basketball (7-11, 1-6 ACC) dropped an 92-51 decision to Boston College (12-8, 3-4 ACC) on Sunday afternoon inside Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
Sophie Burrows led the Orange in points and rebounds, scoring 15 points and grabbing eight rebounds (three offensive) in the contest. Burrows led the team in scoring for the third time this season and produced her seventh double-figure performance in the last nine games. Dominique Camp dished out a team high four assists.
Boston College was led in scoring by Dontavia Waggoner with 22 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Boston College took control early, opening the game with an 8-0 run over the first three minutes. SU was held to just nine points in the first quarter, as BC took a 48-21 advantage into the halftime break. A 10-0 run by the Eagles to open the second half all but sealed it, as the Orange would lose by their largest point margin of the season.
OF NOTE
Syracuse returns home to the JMA Wireless Dome on Thursday, Jan. 23, to face off against NC State. Tip-off is set for 6 PM with coverage on ACC Network.
