SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Orange men's soccer team will host No.25 Southern Methodist at SU Soccer Stadium on Saturday Oct. 11. The match is set to kickoff at 7:30 p.m. and will feature an Orange Out theme for fans.

'Cuse Update
The Orange tallied their third win in a row after defeating Boston College 1-0 at home on Oct. 3.

Freshman Bryson Rodriguez scored Syracuse's lone goal in the 66th minute of play. The midfielder netted the ball in his first career start off assists from Giona Leibold and Carlos Zambrano. Graduate student goalkeeper Tomas Hut faced 18 shots and made five saves, as well as collecting his sixth shutout of the season- the third in a row.
The Orange now hold a 2-3-2 record at home and a 5-4-2 (2-2-0) record overall.

Scouting the Mustangs
SMU (5-2-3, 2-0-2) comes off a 4-0 win against California at home on Oct. 3. Sophomore forward Stephan Soghomonian recorded a hat-trick, scoring in the 41st, 58th and 69th minutes. Senior goalkeeper Martin Dominguez recorded one save in the game. He currently has 10 saves this season and two shutouts.
The Mustangs were projected to finish tied for fifth place with California in the conference this year according to the ACC Preseason Coaches Poll. SMU currently stands in fifth place.
In 2024, the Mustangs finished their season tied for fourth place with a 4-2-2 conference record. SMU's season ended in the elite eight round of the NCAA Championship after a 3-2 loss to No.13-ranked Marshall.
