Syracuse (5-6-4, 1-5-1) goes for consecutive ACC wins when it hosts Boston College (4-6-5, 0-5-2) on Sunday, Oct. 19, at 12:00 p.m. at the SU Soccer Stadium. The pairing features two of the top goalkeepers in the league -- Syracuse's Shea Vanderbosch and Boston College's Olivia Shippee.
The Syracuse-Boston College Series
Boston College owns a 12-4-2 advantage in the all-time series with Syracuse. The Orange have won four of the six matches contested in Syracuse. The two teams faced off most recently on Oct. 31, 2024, when Boston College defeated Syracuse, 3-1.Â

Vanderbosch posted a clean sheet against the Hurricanes. After 15 matches, she has a goals against average of 1.31 and a save percentage of .796. Vanderbosch leads the ACC in total saves (74) and saves per game (4.93). Â
Senior Mia Klammer connected with the back of the net against Miami to propel the Orange to victory. She has a squad-best seven goals, two assists and 16 points on the season. Graduate Student Ashley Rauch assisted on Klammer's tally, improving her season assist total to a squad-best four.

Boston College Status
The Eagles last competed on Oct. 11. Boston College was edged by Louisville, 1-0, in Newton, Mass. The visiting Cardinals scored in the third minute and the two squads played scoreless the rest of the way.
Shippee has started all 15 matches in goal for the Eagles. She owns a 0.75 goals against average and a .849 save percentage. Prior to the weekend games, Shippee led the ACC in save percentage and ranked third in saves (62) and save average (4.13).  Shippee owns six shutouts, which is tied for fourth-best in the ACC.
Junior Sophie Reale has six goals and 13 points to lead Boston College in both categories. She tallied a hat trick in a win against Albany. Heading into the weekend of play, Reale ranked sixth in shots (46) among ACC players. Junior Bella Douglas has three assists.
