- The Orange make a trip to a familiar in-state foe to RIT on Friday before returning home to Tennity Saturday for the split two-game series.Â
- Syracuse is no stranger to its western neighbors as SU leads the Tigers all-time 34-15-4 overall.
- 'Cuse looks to remain undeafted in AHA conference play following a pair of wins against Delaware last weekend 2-1 (OT) and 1-0.
- Friday's action at Gene Polisseni Center is scheduled for 3 p.m. and the team returns to Tennity for Saturday's game starting at 3 p.m.
- The Orange look to stay unbeaten on the road, carrying a 4-0-0 road record with them to Rochester. Syracuse is 4-4-0 overall, with the setbacks coming against two top-10 opponents in No. 6 Minnesota Duluth and No. 7 Quinnipiac.
- The Tigers currently sit below the the Orange in AHA conference play at 1-1-0 following the split series against Robert Morris last weekend.
Drabyk Earns aha rookie of the week: october 20
- Freshman Ava Drabyk has been named the AHA Rookie of the Week.
-The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native held the Delaware Blue Hens to one goal on 48 attempts and recorded her first collegiate shutout to help the Orange sweep Delaware this weekend.
-The netminder led the AHA with a 0.48 goals-against average, a .979 save percentage and also recorded 47 saves. Drabyk has recorded 186 saves this season, the second most in the conference.Â
-The freshman is in the top five in The AHA in goals-against average (2.50) and save percentage (.925) on the season.
- The other AHA weekly award recipients include Penn State's Tessa Janecke (Forward), Danica Maynard (Defenseman), and Katie DeSa (Goalie).
Road Warriors
- On the road again, Syracuse looks to continue its strong road play dating back to 2024-25
- The Orange rounded out a much improved 2024-25 season with strong play away from Tennity, going 3-1-0 in its final two road series in conference play, sweeping Robert Morris by a combined 9-1 score in two games before spiting at Mercyhurst in the final road set of the 2024-25 regular season.
- This season, Syracuse is off to a 4-0-0 start in road games, sweeping Stonehill with a 3-2 win and an 8-2 victory. And sweeping Delaware with a 2-1 win in overtime and a shutout 1-0 last weekend.
- Syracuse will play a third-straight road game this Friday in Rochester against RIT before hosting the Tigers at home on Saturday.
