Syracuse (4-5-4) returns home from a two-game west coast road trip when it hosts Clemson (3-4-5, 0-3-2) on Sunday, Oct. 5, at 1:00 p.m. at the SU Soccer Stadium.

The Syracuse-Clemson Series
Clemson owns a 8-0-2 advantage over Syracuse in the all-time series, including a 3-0-2 mark at SU. The most recent meeting came on Sept. 30, 2023, when Clemson defeated Syracuse, 5-1.

Syracuse Status
The Orange enter the match following a 4-0 loss at #3 Stanford.

Senior Shea Vanderbosch has started all 13 games on the year and owns a goals against average of 1.36 and a save percentage of .785. She broke the school record for career saves (344) during the loss at Stanford, recording six saves to push her career tally to 349. Vanderbosch has recorded four shutouts on the campaign.

Syracuse has received solid performances from its youthful defense throughout the season. Freshman Bree Bridges, sophomore Jasmine Nixon and sophomore Natalie Magnotta have each logged 13 starts in their first year with the Orange. Nixon leads the squad in minutes per game (87.2), followed by Bridges (87.0). Magnotta ranks fourth on the team with an average of 81.6 minutes.

Senior Mia Klammer tops the squad with five goals and three assists. Graduate student Ashley Rauch has four goals and two assists. Freshman Julia Arbelaez has added three assists.

Clemson Status
Clemson (3-4-5, 0-3-2) is coming off a 5-1 loss at home versus #2 Notre Dame.

Freshman forward Juju Harris leads the Tigers with five goals and three assists on the season. She scored her first collegiate goal in a 1-0 victory at Ohio. Graduate student Renee Lyles has added three goals and two assists. She scored a brace in a 3-0 triumph over App. State.

Senior Addy Holgorsen has started all 12 matches for Clemson and owns a goals against average of 1.38 and a save percentage of 0.686. She has recorded two shutouts on the season, in a 1-0 win at Ohio and a scoreless draw versus South Carolina.

Around the ACC
Thursday night kicked off this week's ACC slate with some key results. North Carolina defeated Boston College 3-1 at home, while Duke poured it on versus Pitt, winning 5-0. The biggest shock of the night came in Raleigh, N.C., where NC State knocked off #12 Wake Forest in a 2-1 upset. On Friday, #2 Notre Dame hosts #23 Louisville, while #6 Florida State welcomes Miami.
