Both teams went back-and-forth in the first few minutes of play, with both teams collecting 10 rebounds in total in the scoreless stretch. Izoje went to the line to put up the first point on the board for the Orange. Sophie Burrows stepped up to hit a jumper and added two more to the board. The momentum picked up as Lailia Phelia hit two from beyond the arc, closing the first quarter out leading 19-13.Â
Across the board, Syracuse was able to tally 18 points in the second quarter, keeping the Bison to only 11 points. Izoje led the group with seven points, as she completed a three-point play and continued her stride to score another field goal on the next drive. A series of offensive rebounds led to an exciting chance to add more to the board, but SU was unable to find the basket. The Orange entered the locker room with a 13-point lead with a box score of 37-24.Â

Rounding out the final quarter, Izoje contributed 10 points for the Orange, along with two rebounds, two steals, an assist and an additional block. She rounded out with seven blocks in total. The center shot 4-6 from the field and 2-3 at the line. Burrows added three assists.
