Puck Drop
- Games one and two of the 2026 half of the season start on Friday and Saturday against fellow AHA member, the Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens.Â
- Friday's matchup will be at 6 p.m. and Saturday's will be at 3 p.m. with both games played at home at the Tennity Ice Pavilion.
- Syracuse is coming off an almost one month break from games, the Blue Hens are in the same boat. The Orange are returning home after ending 2025 with a tie and loss against Robert Morris.Â
- Delaware ended 2025 with five-game losing streak against Union and AHA opponents RIT and Lindenwood.Â
Dropping the puck in 2026
- The Orange ended their 2025 campaign at home and will start their 2026 campaign at home.Â
- Syracuse was off to one of its better starts in the first half of a season, sitting at 8-11-3. Compared to last years first half of the season, the Orange have won more games. With eight wins, the Orange will need to win eight more games to surpass last years win count.
- Under head coach Britni Smith, the best first half for Syracuse came in 2022-23 with an 8-13-1 start, while Syracuse went 7-12-0 last year before New Years Eve.Â
- By winning percentage, the .395 so far in the fall of 2025 is the best percentage in the last four seasons before the break, sailing past the .386 in 2022-23.
- Last season, in the latter half, Syracuse had a 6-9 run in the regular season and a 2-2 run in the post season. Syracuse will have a completely AHA opponent schedule in this second half of the season. Syracuse has gone 4-6-2 in the first half of the season against opponents that they will play in January and February.Â
Hooray for Emmy Day!
- This Saturday, Syracuse ice hockey will recognize teammate Emmy and her family for the second annual Emmy Day!
- Syracuse ice hockey head coach Britni Smith and the Orange announced Emelia "Emmy" Phillips to the program in partnership with Team IMPACT prior to the start of the 2024-25 season.
- Signing a "National Letter of Intent," Emmy and her family will be paired with Syracuse ice hockey throughout the season and was a key part of the official 2024-25 team photo and content day festivities.
- This is the 11th year Syracuse and Team IMPACT have enjoyed their partnership and is the first-ever match at Tennity Ice Pavilion between Syracuse and Delaware.
- Emmy, age 6, was diagnosed with spina bifida and CASK genetic disorder. Emmy was joined at the signing day by her parents, Christine and Matt, and her sister Anderson.
