Syracuse Hosts #9 North Carolina on Thursday

Syracuse women's basketball (10-15, 4-10 ACC) returns home to the JMA Wireless Dome for a matchup against No. 9 North Carolina (23-4, 11-3 ACC) on Thursday, Feb. 20. Tip-off is slated for 6 PM and will be televised on ACC Network.

SU comes back to the 315 after their first conference road trip to the Bay Area, taking on Stanford and Cal over the weekend. 'Cuse dropped both games on the swing trip, losing 79-58 to Stanford on Thursday before narrowly missing out on a victory against Cal, 75-69, on Sunday. The Orange won their last contest at home on Feb. 9, taking down Wake Forest, 62-50.

North Carolina travels to the Dome on the heels of a five-game win streak, last narrowly defeating then No. 10 NC State, 66-65, at home. The victory was UNC's first top-10 win of the season thanks to a career-high 23 points from Reniya Kelly. The Tar Heels are 7-0 on the road this season and have only lost one contest outside of their home Carmichael Arena.

The Orange are 9-7 against North Carolina all time, and 5-1 inside the Loud House. UNC and SU last met in January of 2024, when Syracuse traveled to Chapel Hill during the regular season. 'Cuse fell short, 75-51, led in scoring by Dyaisha Fair with 17 points. Both teams have three wins in the last six contests between the two. Last time UNC traveled to Syracuse, earned a 75-67, win over the 14th-ranked Tar Heels for the first ranked win under head coach Felisha Legette-Jack.
