Anderson Qualifies for NCAA Final

Benne Anderson will race for an NCAA title on Saturday after advancing in the semifinals of the men's mile on Friday at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Anderson took second in his heat, earning an automatic spot in the 10-man final on Saturday. He crossed the line in 4:01.69. Georgetown's Abel Teffra won the heat in by 0.51 seconds. Anderson was in the second of two semifinal heats, with his being taken out slower. Four men advanced automatically to Saturday's final from each heat, while both time qualifiers came from the first heat.
