THE GAME
- The ACC Tournament has arrived as the Orange enter this weekend with the number four seed, ready to rematch with top-seeded Notre Dame.
- Game time is slated for 5 p.m. on Friday to lead off the 2025 ACC Men's Lacrosse Tournament at American Legion Memorial Stadium. The winner between Syracuse and Notre Dame will face the winner of the nightcap as Duke and North Carolina square off at 8 p.m.
- The ACC Men's Lacrosse Championship game is set for noon on Sunday, May 4 back at American Legion Memorial Stadium.
- The Orange faltered last weekend in a top-10 clash at the Dome, dropping a 14-12 decision, despite a furious comeback bid, quite literally in the final minutes of the game.
- Notre Dame is coming off a 10-8 win in South Bend against Penn last weekend on a bye week from ACC play.
- The Orange won their last matchup against the Fighting Irish, taking down Notre Dame 14-9 at the Dome at the beginning of April in front of over 11,000 fans.
- Syracuse is 0-1 in neutral site games this year, falling to top-ranked Cornell on Long Island a week after the Notre Dame game.
- Likewise, Notre Dame lost its only neutral site game, an 11-10 setback against Maryland on March 1 in Atlanta.
- ACC Network will be on hand for this weekend's action. Anish Shroff '04 will handle play-by-play duties with Matt Ward as an analyst and Dana Boyle reporting.
- Tim Leonard '20 (play-by-play) and Kyle Fetterly '09 (analyst) take to the airwaves on Syracuse Sports Network and TK99/105 locally, Cuse.com, The Varsity App, and TuneIn App, as well as Syracuse University student-radio station WAER.

BACK TO CHARLOTTE
- The lacrosse world's collective attention turns towards the Queen City: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- The ACC will hold its annual men's lacrosse tournament at American Legion Memorial Stadium, with the semifinals scheduled for 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday, May 2.
- The 2025 ACC Men's Lacrosse Championship game is set for a noon start back at American Legion Stadium on Sunday, May 4.
- While the ACC does not have an automatic qualifier for the NCAA Tournament, several of the league's teams expect to earn an at-large bid during Selection Show on Sunday at 9:30 p.m.

THE NOTRE DAME SERIES
- The Orange and Fighting Irish will clash for the 23rd time since the series began in 2001 and the previous 22 meetings have been an even split.
- Syracuse got the best of Notre Dame 14-9 at home on April 5, snapping a seven-game skid against the Irish dating back to the 2019 campaign.
- Friday's game will be the second time Syracuse and Notre Dame meet in the ACC Tournament and the first time since Syracuse's first season in the league, 2014. The Irish won the only ACC Tournament meeting with a 15-14 decision in 2014 in Chester, Pennsylvania in the championship game. This weekend will be the first time these teams meet in the ACC Tournament semifinal round.
- Syracuse is 4-1 against Notre Dame in neutral site showdowns as the teams meet for the first time in North Carolina.
- The teams are split in conference tournament showdowns, however. Syracuse won the 2013 BIG EAST semifinal game against Notre Dame with a 9-3 final in Villlanova, Pennsylvania.
- Syracuse is seeking back-to-back wins against Notre Dame for the first time since the 2017 and 2018 regular season meetings, an 11-10 win in 2017 and a 10-6 final in 2018.

A WIN ON SATURDAY WOULD...
- Advance Syracuse to the ACC Men's Lacrosse Championship game for the first time since 2016.
- End a four-game drought in the ACC Tournament for the Orange dating back to the 2016 season.
- Improve Syracuse to 3-1 as the four seed in the ACC Tournament.
- Be Syracuse's first ACC Tournament win in the state of North Carolina since joining the league in 2014 (0-3).
- Mark the second win of the season against Notre Dame for Syracuse, the first time the Orange would beat the Irish twice in the same year since the 2013 season.
- Log the 10th win of the season for Syracuse, marking back-to-back seasons with double digit wins for the first time since winning at least 10 from 2013-2017.
- Mark the sixth win over a top 20 team this season, matching last season's total including the postseason.
- Be the 958th win in program history, second-most among Division I programs.
