Syracuse (4-3-4, 0-2-1) heads to the West Coast for the first contest of a two-game road trip on Thursday, Sept. 25, when it faces California (5-1-5, 1-0-1) at 7:00 p.m. at Edwards Stadium.

The Orange come into the contest following a 3-0 home defeat versus top-ranked Virginia. Senior goalkeeper Shea Vanderbosch recorded 10 saves in the loss.Â
Senior Mia Klammer leads the Orange with five goals on the campaign. She also has three assists and 13 points. Graduate student Ashley Rauch has four goals and three assists. Freshman Julia Arbelaez also has three assists.Â
Senior Shea Vanderbosch has started the first 11 matches of the season and owns a goals against average of 1.14 and a save percentage of .806. She now ranks second on the career saves list at Syracuse with 337, and is just eight saves away from breaking the school record (344).Â
California Status
California (5-1-5, 1-0-1) is coming off a 2-0 victory over San Francisco Bay Area rival Santa Clara.Â
Senior Lumi Kostmayer leads the Golden Bears with four goals and two assists on the year. She netted both goals in a 2-2 draw at ACC foe Clemson earlier in the season. Senior Coco Thistle has three goals and two assists.Â
2024 Second Team All-ACC goalkeeper Teagan Wy has started all 11 matches and owns a goals against average of 0.91 and a save percentage of .811. She received ACC Defensive Player of the Week honors earlier in the season following back-to-back shutouts against Washington State and Cal Poly.Â

Conference play is in full swing, with multiple key matchups taking place this week. On Wednesday, #22 North Carolina travels to South Bend, Ind. to take on #2 Notre Dame. Thursday features a number of ranked clashes, including Clemson hosting #1 Virginia, #18 Wake Forest visiting #9 Duke and #3 Stanford welcoming Boston College.Â
