1/20/2026 1:00:00 PM | Women's Lacrosse
Four Syracuse women's lacrosse standouts were named USA Lacrosse Preseason All-Americans on Tuesday. Only five schools nationally had more honorees than the Orange.
Emma Muchnick (second team), Coco Vandiver (third team), Kaci Benoit (honorable mention) and Caroline Trinkaus (honorable mention), earned the distinction. Fans will get to see some of the game's biggest stars this season, as 55-percent of all 71 players honored with Preseason All-America designation are either on the Orange or play for a team on Syracuse's regular season schedule. Muchnick, an All-American a year ago by both US Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse, was a First-Team All-ACC selection in 2025, recording career highs with 41 points and 34 goals. She led the Orange in goals last season.
Vandiver was a US Lacrosse Magazine Honorable Mention and All-ACC Third Team selection last season. She had 40 caused turnovers in 2025, which was second in a single season in Syracuse history.
Benoit was also an All-ACC Third Team honoree while starting 19 games on defense. She tied for the team lead in ground balls with 34.
Trinkaus earned All-ACC Third Team honors after appearing in 19 games with 18 starts last season. She is Syracuse's leading point getter amongst returners, tallying 43 points on 32 goals and 11 assists last season.
Syracuse opens its 2026 season on Friday, Feb. 6 at 5 p.m. against Maryland. Season, group and individual game tickets are on sale now at Cuse.com/Lacrosse-Tickets.
