
'Cuse Women Open Weekend at BU

The 'Cuse women opened multiple days of meets this weekend for the Syracuse track and field teams. Five women competed in the 3,000-meter run at the John Thomas Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston.
Emma Eastman was the top finisher for the Orange, placing 18th in a time of 9:18.33. Madeline Heintz (9:26.04) set a new PR in the event, shaving over 10 seconds off her previous best, while placing 30th. Jayden Harberts was three places behind Heintz in 9:31.69, followed by Gretta Johnson (9:42.94) and Mackenzie Cook (9:53.72) took 48th and 74th, respectively, in a field of nearly 160 competitors.
Saturday, men's distance runners will compete at BU, while both squads will be represented at the Cornell Invitational in Ithaca.
