Shy Hawkins added two points to the board from the line, and Darius and Burrows each scored a field goal. Darius, Burrows and Jasmyn Cooper hit back-to-back-to-back three-point shots, forcing the Cardinals to call a timeout. Syracuse went on a 16-2 run in four minutes of play toward the end of the second quarter. Izoje stole the ball on the next drive to put up a fastbreak layup, bringing the crowd to their feet. Darius shot 6-for-6 in the first half including two shots from the three-point line. Syracuse entered the locker room trailing 44-36.Â
Darius hit a shot from beyond the arc as the shot clock expired to start the third quarter. Darius found Izoje in the paint, finishing the play with a layup. On the next drive, Burrows stole the ball, scoring another fastbreak layup for the Orange. Â
Cooper rebounded in the paint, adding a layup to start off the fourth quarter. 'Cuse recorded three steals in the final quarter, but Louisville broke through offensively. The Orange ultimately fell 84-65 against the No. 6-ranked Cardinals.Â
