Naimoli Named ACC Goalkeeper of the Week

Junior Maya Naimoli was named the ACC Goalkeeper of the Week in an announcement made by the conference on Aug. 25.
The honor covered games played between Aug. 17 and Aug. 24.
Naimoli contributed two shutouts during the week. She helped Syracuse to a 1-0 victory with two saves at Northwestern on Aug. 20. In a 3-0 victory against Princeton on Aug. 23, Naimoli made five saves for the Orange.
On the season, Naimoli has played all 360 minutes and posted a goals-against average of 0.25 and a saves percentage of .929. She has three shutouts and a 3-0-1 record.
Naimoli, who played at Episcopal Academy (Pa.), transferred to Syracuse after two seasons at Youngstown State. She was third team All-Horizon League last fall.
