Senior Year (1998): Named second-team All-BIG EAST…compiled a single-season high of 613 rushing yards…scored a career-best nine rushing touchdowns…his 20 career rushing touchdowns ranks tied for ninth on SU’s record list…increased his career all-purpose yards total to 1,989…had 10 carries for 48 yards and caught five passes for 63 yards against Tennessee in the season-opener…caught five passes for 59 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 16 yards on five carriers at Michigan…rushed for three first-half touchdowns against Rutgers…gained 26 yards on five carries and caught four passes for 19 yards at NC State…rushed for a season-high 88 yards on 11 carries and one touchdown against Cincinnati…scored one touchdown and had 11 rushes against Boston College…rushed 10 times for 42 yards and had three receptions for 24 yards against Pittsburgh…had eight carries for 28 yards against West Virginia…rushed 14 times for 35 yards and one touchdown against Virginia Tech…had seven carries for 30 yards and one touchdown at Temple…rushed five times for 13 yards and had one reception for four yards against Miami.
Junior Year (1997): Missed the last three games of the season following surgery to re-attach a tendon in his left knee…Doak Walker Award candidate prior to his injury…third on the team in rushing, despite playing in parts of only seven games…rushed for 305 yards and three touchdowns…member of the Spring 1998Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
Sophomore Year (1996): Started 11 games, missing the Temple game with a hand injury…third on the team in rushing, with 361 yards and three touchdowns…also team’s fifth leading receiver...scored twice in the win against Pittsburgh…scored a touchdown in the Liberty Bowl victory against Houston.
Freshman Year (1995): Surpassed lofty preseason expectations as a true freshman…played in all 12 games...BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week after rushing for 130 yards and three touchdowns in the win at Pittsburgh…followed that with three touchdowns in the win against Boston College…SU’s second-leading rusher and fourth-leading scorer.
High School: One of the most highly recruited prep backs in the country…Parade, Blue Chip, SuperPrep and Tom Lemming All-American…USA Today second team All-American…two-time All-State by the Boston Globe and Boston Herald…College Sports Magazine’s eighth-ranked running back recruit in the nation and the Top Newcomer in the BIGEAST…Athlon’s second-ranked recruit in the BIGEAST and ranked 57th nationally…recruited by George DeLeone.
