Burnett accumulated 73 career sacks in NFL stops with the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens and Miami Dolphins. He captained the 1989 squad at Syracuse that won the Hall of Fame Bowl. Burnett had 18 career sacks and 146 career tackles with the Orange. He was named to Syracuse University's All-Century team in November, 1999.
