Joseph Alexander Excellence in Football, Scholarship and Citizenship
The Joseph Alexander Award for Excellence in Football, Scholarship and Citizenship in named in honor of Syracuse's first three-time All-American. A starter on the offensive line from 1917 through 1920, Alexander was also the first Orange student-athlete inducted into the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame.
