James A. Ridlon, 1955 (Football/Lacrosse)
Jim Ridlon was a standout on both the Syracuse football and lacrosse teams of the mid-1950's. He went on to play professional football with the San Francisco 49er's and the Dallas Cowboys. He captained the Dallas team in 1964 and earned All Pro honors as safety that year. He returned to SU in 1965 as a defensive backfield coach and a lecturer in the School of Art. He is now a full professor. He is a highly successful painter and sculptor. Jim also does the color commentary on broadcasts of Syracuse football and lacrosse games on WSYR radio.
