- Redshirt junior quarterback Tommy DeVito moved into seventh place on the program’s career touchdown pass list. His 79-yard, first-quarter scoring toss to junior wide receiver Taj Harris was the 26th of his Orange tenure. It broke a tie with Perry Patterson (2003-06).
- Sophomore tight end Luke Benson scored on a 53-yard touchdown play in the third quarter. He also had a scoring reception against Duke last season.
- Junior wide receiver Taj Harris finished with a single-game best 138 yards receiving.
- DeVito finished with a season-high 255 yards passing. He left the game in the fourth quarter with an injury.
- Freshman running back Sean Tucker carried 12 times for 53 yards in his first career start.
- Sophomore linebacker Geoff Cantin-Arku forced a Duke fumble that was recovered by freshmen rover Rob Hanna.

It was Syracuse’s first fumble return for a touchdown since Trill Williams turned the trick against Wake Forest last season.
- Senior defensive end Cody Roscoe made Syracuse’s third fumble recovery of the contest when he picked up a miscue by Duke’s Gunnar Holmberg.
- Sophomore linebacker Mikel Jones came up with his third interception of the season. His theft halted a Duke drive deep in Syracuse territory.
