Malone, a standout distance runner in her time at Syracuse, has seen Syracuse's cross country teams both qualify for the NCAA Championships in each of the past-two seasons. Each squad has won an NCAA Northeast Regional in that time, while the men's team had a top-10 finish and the women placed inside the top-20 for just the third time ever at the NCAA Championships.Â
A Pittsburgh, Pa. native, Malone is a two-time USTFCCCA All-Northeast Region honoree and two-time All-ACC performer in cross country. She was also a three-time All-Conference performer on the track in her Orange tenure.
Malone primarily works with Orange distance runners, her area of expertise, on the 'Cuse staff, as well as assisting in program recruiting and fundraising efforts.Â
