Neel Bhattacharjee joined the Syracuse coaching staff in January, 2012. He is the recruiting coordinator for the program and also assists with scouting, field player and goalkeeper training, game preparation, and the Cuse Soccer Academy. Bhattacharjee spent the previous three seasons as an assistant coach at Boston College and prior to that three seasons at George Washington University.

In his first recruiting cycle at Syracuse, Bhattacharjee helped bring in 11 new players as the 2014 Orange's recruiting class was ranked No. 17 in the nation by Topdrawersoccer.com.

As a member of the Eagles’ staff, Bhattacharjee worked directly with the goalkeepers and served as the recruiting coordinator for the squad that made its first College Cup appearance in 2010. He also assisted in team training and handled a number of administrative aspects for the program, including co-directing the Lady Eagles Soccer School. Prior to joining the Boston College staff, Bhattacharjee was the associate head coach for the George Washington women’s soccer program.

In 2006, Bhattacharjee served as the goalkeeper coach for the Under-21 Women's National Team during a competition in England and Scotland. He was the U15 head goalkeeper coach for the Region I Olympic Development Program (ODP) and previously worked with Region IV ODP. He also was the goalkeeper coach with the ECNL program Scorpions Soccer Club. Bhattacharjee holds a US Soccer Federation "A" License, NSCAA Premier Diploma, along with a US. Soccer Federation Goalkeeper License and NSCAA Goalkeeper Level I, II and III, Premier Diplomas. He currently works with the Odyssey Soccer Club and Syracuse Development Academy as their respective club Goalkeeper Director.

Bhattacharjee and his wife, Merry, have a 5-year-old daughter, Naiya, and 3-year old, Norah.
