Personal: John Samuel Rodgers … Born in September 1991 in State College, Pa. … Son of John and Colleen Rodgers … Four sisters … In May 2013, participated in a Mission trip to Haiti with teammate Macauley Hill to assist with projects and work with children at an orphanage … In May 2014, returned to Haiti on a second mission trip with family and other Syracuse student-athletes where they partnered with an orphanage to teach the children English and work on projects with the kids, built green houses for the orphanage and ran a soccer clinic with more than 100 kids from the village, played soccer throughout the week, and gave soccer balls, shoes, and cleats to many of the kids … Syracuse University Fellowship of Christian Athletes student leader and co-founder of a chapter at an area middle school … Majoring in nutrition in the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics.
